Restore Record
Restore Record brings a deleted Record back from the Recycle Bin and makes it active again. It is on the Record screen under the Admin Actions menu in the footer, and appears only while you are viewing a deleted Record that you have edit rights on. It is available to Administrators.
Deleted Records are not lost. Deleting one marks it as deleted and takes it out of any workflow it was in, but its documents, data and notes stay exactly where they were until the Record is purged. To find a deleted Record, search for it with Status set to Deleted Records on the Record Fields tab of the search screen, then open it from the results.
Click Restore Record and confirm. The Record becomes active again, its changed date and changed-by are updated to record the restore, a Change Log entry is written, and the screen reloads with the Record live. Its documents, data and notes come back with it. Its workflow does not: deleting the Record removed it from workflow, and restoring does not put it back, so if it still needs processing send it down workflow again from the Workflow panel.
To restore several Records at once, search the Recycle Bin as above and use Restore Checked Records or Restore Records from the results. Workflow can also restore a Record with the Restore Record action, described under Record Actions.
If Restore Record is not in the menu, the Record is either already active or one you cannot edit.
