# Artificial Intelligence (AI)

DocMgt includes a set of AI-powered features that help you read, summarize, search, build and automate. They fall into three groups, and this section of the help describes each one.

> If your site is not licensed for AI, these features are hidden. Token limits, data sharing and which groups are enabled are all controlled by your administrator under **Admin > Main Options > AI** (see *Configuring AI*).

The three groups of AI features

End-User AI — everyday assistance for any user:

AI Help Assistant ("Ask DoM") — a chat assistant that answers questions about how to use DocMgt.
Document Summarizer — summarizes a single document.
Draft Reply — drafts an email reply to a document.
AI Search — turns a plain-English question into a record search.
Record Summarizer — narrates the history of a record.
Workflow Explainer — explains a workflow process in plain English.

Builder AI — for administrators who configure the system:

Edit & Build with AI — create or change Record Types, E-forms, Workflows, Add-Ins and Action Sets from a plain-language description.
Create an E-form with AI — turn a PDF, Word doc, scan or description into an E-form.
Create a Merge Template with AI — turn a Word document into a merge template.
SOW Builder — read a Statement of Work and build out a whole configuration.

AI Workflow Actions — AI that runs automatically inside a workflow. These are documented with the other workflow actions:

AI Invoice Extraction - Extract invoice data from documents
AI Data Match - Match documents to data for uses such as Vendor matching
AI Document Classification - Classify documents to automatically set Categories
AI Auto-Annotate - USe natural language to add annotations automatically to documents

A few things that are true of every AI feature

AI can make mistakes. Every result should be reviewed. Where the AI works from a deterministic source (for example the Workflow Explainer reads the actual workflow), the underlying data — not the AI's wording — is the authority.
AI uses tokens. Every AI call consumes tokens, which are tracked against your monthly limits. See *AI Tokens & Limits*.
AI may incur extra fees. Check with your sales rep for details.
Your data privacy is controlled by an admin setting. Whether your documents and record data are sent to the AI is governed by Send Data to AI (see Configuring AI).
