The Error Logs report shows system errors that have occurred for the given time frame. Not all errors are shown here but rather the ones that are caught in our special logging routine. As time goes by we will add more and more error types into the report.

NOTE: This is an ADMIN ONLY report. If a user is not an Admin they will not see this report as an option.

This report is meant for troubleshooting and possibly for spotting errors before they become a larger issue.

User - The user who was logged in when the error occurred. Leave set at "All Users" to show errors for all users.

Error Date - The date range of when the error occurred.

Example Output

The first option is to view the approximate IP Address location on Google Maps. This is an approximate location based on the provider of the IP address so it will not show you exactly where the user logged in from. Also if the user is using a VPN or other such method then the IP address they report to us may not be the one they are actually originating from.

The second option is the block the IP address. If you are an Admin you will see this option. If you see logins from an IP you know is not allowed you can add a block on it using this option. Be careful not to block your own IP or you will be instantly locked out!

AI Error Diagnoser

The Error Logs report includes an AI diagnosis option. Each error row shows an AI (sparkle) button at the start of its action column, next to the View User Location and Block IP Address icons. Clicking it asks the built-in AI assistant to review that specific error and explain, in plain language, what it most likely means and what you can do about it.

The result appears in a dialog with a short summary of what the error means, the most likely everyday reason for it, and a few practical steps. Those steps are limited to things you can actually do yourself — such as trying the action again, checking a document or a piece of information you entered, confirming you had permission for what you were attempting, or, when it is something that needs someone with system access, reporting it to your DocMgt administrator or to DocMgt support along with what you were doing when it happened. A Copy button copies the explanation to the clipboard.

The diagnosis is an AI-generated suggestion and should be treated as a helpful starting point rather than a definitive answer. When an error does not contain enough detail to be sure, the assistant says so and offers the most likely possibilities instead of a single false-confident answer.

The AI button appears only when AI is licensed and the AI usage allowance is available. Each diagnosis counts against the same AI usage allowance used by features such as the Document Summarizer; if the allowance has been reached the assistant reports that instead of running.

To use it: open Reports, run the Error Logs report, find the error you want to understand, click the AI sparkle icon on that row, and review the explanation in the dialog that appears.
