The Linked Records section will show up only when there are other Records in the system that are related to the current one. This is all dictated by the Record Type Linking feature which can be set up by the Administrator. 



When Linked Records are found, a list of these Records is presented to you. You can click on any of the items on the list to bring up a Record Preview window. This preview window is designed to let you see the basic contents of the selected Record. This includes the index information and the first page each Document (up to the first 25 Documents) contained in the Record. 



If you want to open the entire Record, click the "Go To Record" button. This will take you away from the current Record and to the one you are previewing. If you want to have BOTH Records open at the same time, hold the Control (CTRL) key down while clicking the button. This will open the record in another tab so each Record has its own window.
