AI Help Assistant ("Ask DoM")


The AI Help Assistant is a chat companion that answers questions about how to use DocMgt. Ask it in plain language — "How do I add a user to a team?", "What does the Auto-Split action do?" — and it replies in a conversation you can keep going.


There are two versions, shown depending on who you are:


For administrators — answers questions about configuring the system (Record Types, E-forms, workflows, security, actions, variables, and so on). When its answer refers to something in your configuration (a workflow, Action Set, Add-In or E-form), it can show buttons that take you straight to that item.


For end users — answers questions about everyday use (searching, working with documents, workflow tasks, navigation).


How to access it


Look for the Ask DoM panel. It is docked on the right-hand edge of the screen and can be popped out into a floating window you can move and resize, or docked back again.


Using it


  • Type a question in the box and send it. You can also click one of the suggested starter questions.
  • Replies stream in as they are generated.
  • Use Clear Chat to start a fresh conversation. A long conversation will warn you as it nears its size limit and eventually ask you to start a new one.


Things to know


  • The assistant answers about DocMgt itself — it is not a place to process your documents.
  • An AI usage gauge at the bottom shows how the current state of your overall token usage.
