The Document Loop action allows you to loop through Documents and run actions on each one

NOTE: Loop actions are available in the Enterprise Edition only. 


Documents

Find Documents chooses which Documents in the current Record to loop through, by Category, SubCategory and Name. All documents that match are processed. With all three left blank, every document on the Record is processed.


By Document IDs limits the loop to the documents whose IDs are listed, separated by commas, semicolons or |, and processes them in the order listed. Only documents on the current Record are processed, and the Find Documents choices still apply. When By Document IDs is filled in but holds no IDs, for example a variable that comes back empty, no documents are processed.


By Document IDs can hold a variable, such as [@FORMPACKAGEDOCIDS], the list of a Form Package's forms that a Record Type's Form Package Sent and Completed Action Sets receive (see Collaboration).



Actions

Add the actions you wish to process for each Document into the Actions list. 


* Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • You can use the [DOCCTR] variable in your actions to get the document number being processed
  • Each document will be the 'active' Document while looping so you can use the Document variables to get information about the document
