AI Error Diagnoser (Error Logs report)

The Error Logs report includes an AI diagnosis option for administrators. Each error row shows an AI (sparkle) button at the start of its action column, next to the View User Location and Block IP Address icons. Clicking it asks the built-in AI assistant to review that specific error and explain, in plain language, what it most likely means and what you can do about it.

The button appears only for users with administrator rights. The Error Logs report itself can be run by anyone with reporting rights, but the diagnosis is written for an administrator — it may point at DocMgt configuration to correct — so it is limited to administrators.

The result appears in a dialog with a short summary of what the error means, the most likely reason for it, and a few practical steps. Those steps are limited to things you can do inside DocMgt for your own tenant — for example checking or correcting a workflow step, a record type or field setting, an add-in or a template; reviewing a user's rights; blocking an IP address; checking the specific document or value involved; retrying the action; or, when something genuinely needs system access, contacting DocMgt support with details of what was happening. A Copy button copies the explanation to the clipboard. Past explanations are also listed under My AI Activity in your user menu, so you can re-open one later without running the diagnosis again.

The assistant never reports on the infrastructure DocMgt runs on, because that is not something you administer or can act on. Anything that would require that level of access is identified as a DocMgt support item instead.

The diagnosis is an AI-generated suggestion and should be treated as a helpful starting point rather than a definitive answer. When an error does not contain enough detail to be sure, the assistant offers the most likely possibilities instead of a single false-confident answer.

The AI button also requires AI to be licensed with an available AI usage allowance. Each diagnosis counts against the same AI usage allowance used by features such as the Document Summarizer; if the allowance has been reached the assistant reports that instead of running.

To use it: open Reports, run the Error Logs report, find the error you want to understand, click the AI sparkle icon on that row, and review the explanation in the dialog that appears.
