A form's responses can be summarized by the AI, so somebody reading a hundred submitted forms gets the shape of the answers instead of a hundred documents. These settings decide whether that is allowed for this form, and what a summary is able to see.


Allow AI Summaries - Whether the responses to this form may be summarized at all. Turn it off for a form whose answers should never be gathered up and read in bulk, whatever else is set.


What a summary would see - A preview of the fields a summary would be able to read, given the current settings on the form and on each field. Check it before turning summaries on for a form that collects anything sensitive; it is quicker than opening every field to see how it is set.


What an individual field contributes is set on the field itself, under Include In AI Summaries in its Advanced settings. A field left at the default is readable by a summary; turn it off on any field holding something that should not be summarized, such as a national insurance or social security number, an account number or free text where people may write more than they should.

The two work together: this setting decides whether summaries happen for the form, and each field decides whether it takes part.
