The Assign Asset, Return Asset and Cancel Asset Request actions are used with Asset Tracking



Assign Asset

Use this action to assign an asset record to a specific user. 


Options


      • Assign to User - Enter the ID or UserName of the User for whom to assign the asset


      • Notes for Assignment - Enter notes for the assignment. These notes are logged in the system with the assignment action.




Return Asset

Use this action to return an asset from being assigned to someone. Once this action runs the asset will no longer be assigned to anyone. If you need to assign the asset from one user to another, use the Assign Asset action instead. That will perform the Return and the Assign in one step.


Options


      • Alert Requestors - Check this ON to have the system alert all users who have an active request for this asset. This is generally an email stating that the asset they want has been returned.




Cancel Asset Request 

Use this action to cancel an outstanding asset request. This will only work if the current work item has already been tied to an asset request.
